I’m changing the word that we use to describe our worship gatherings
from “Service” to “Experience”. It seems to better capture the reason
we gather. We get together weekly believing people will have an
experience with GOD. That is really the point isn’t it. Since the
storm, we have been adding weekend experiences here at Journey. We
started with one in the parking lot the Sunday after Katrina, then
added a second when we moved in to the Harbor Center. Now that we are
in our new campus, we have added a third. Saturday 6 PM. Sunday 9 and
11 AM. All three experiences are healthy. Sunday at 11 is already full.
