Dear Journey Family,
Thank you for believing in and giving to the Journey! Your generosity made possible an incredible year at Journey Fellowship Church. You are a part of EVERY life changed, EVERY baptism, EVERY healing and EVERY church planted. Here's a list of some of the incredible highlights of 2011 in which YOU played an important part.
- 162 people made first time decisions during the Sunday Morning Worship Experiences to become followers of Jesus Christ.
-
Paul Campbell and Ben Newman were healed of cancer.
- 400 students and parents picked up 20,000 Easter Eggs at Journey.
- 4 Outreach Teams served the church around the world in Brazil, China, Uganda and San Antonio, TX.
- 10,000 people heard the gospel during The 99 outreach at the Northshore Mall.
- 5,000 high school students witnessed the ministry of the Power Team.
- 20 Students were interns in the MOTION Summer Internship program.
- "Doing Life Together" debuted on Lifesongs 89.1 FM at 11:00 a.m. weekdays, reaching 18,000 listeners daily.
- 81 people went public with their faith through water baptism, some at the cross near the lake and some during our weekend services.
- The new Journey Prayer Walk was dedicated. It's a 4' wide by 1760' around, paved walkway that is lit at night and open all year.
- Hundreds of children were sponsored for Christmas through Operation Christmas Child.
- 700 stuffed backpacks were given away during the Back to School Bash.
- Hundreds of hurting people were fed on Christmas Eve on the streets of New Orleans.
- 8 people were rescued from the street and were given a second chance through Compassion Outreach.
- 100 Small Groups were lead with hundreds of people growing in their faith.
That’s an AMAZING list, and those were just a FEW of the highlights. You may never know how many marriages were saved. You may never hear about how many children and teenagers were impacted. We can’t measure the influence of the gospel being lifted up all around the North Shore.
As your pastor, I want to personally THANK YOU for your sacrifice to make all of this happen. As you know, real ministry takes real money, and I am honored that you would choose to partner with Journey in this way. You are a vital part of our team, and you’ve got an important role in the mission.
Doing Life Together,
Pastor Doug
