The “Steps” are our membership classes. There are 4 classes total and they will explain who we are, what we believe, and how to get involved. We offer “Step” classes throughout the year.

Participating in drinking, smoking, drug use, club life, sex outside of marriage, living with someone of the opposite sex, homosexuality, etc. is considered a stumbling block to others. Our life is an example and should never be a hindrance to anyone searching for Christ.
Gossip? Go (up) to Leadership 
Proverbs 11:13 A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a secret.
Proverbs 16:28 A perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends.
Proverbs 18:8 The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man's inmost parts.
Proverbs 20:19 A gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid a man who talks too much.
Proverbs 26:20 Without wood a fire goes out; without gossip a quarrel dies down.
Romans 1:29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips…
Ok, you get the point. As a team we work together in unity. Gossip destroys and puts the focus on others and off where it should be, God.
Attend Scheduled Rehearsals and Sound Checks
Sound checks and rehearsals are extremely important. Journey strives for excellence in everything we do. We look for a certain quality when performing as a team. Spending time together makes a difference in how we sound. Rehearsals are held once a week. We spend 2-3 hours in one rehearsal. Sound checks are 1 hour before each Experience. Special holidays may require additional practice. You are expected to be at your scheduled rehearsal.
Attending a Weekend Experience
It is imperative that you attend one of the weekend experiences at Journey. Sitting in on an experience allows us to recharge our batteries. Listening to the weekend message keeps us all going in the same direction.
Training
We are a family. We want to know you. We may ask you to join us in rehearsal time for a few weeks prior to you joining the team on stage.
Personal Appearance
Remember the stumbling block scriptures? That applies here too. Although we are a church with a relaxed, casual atmosphere, we are to uphold a firmer rule when on stage. Modest. Your attire should never hinder anyone from worshiping. Shirts are not to be: low cut, see through (or see belly), spaghetti straps….(you get the point) We are a few feet off the floor, so nothing short. If you are not sure if you are dressed appropriately for the stage, just ask, we will be glad to help.
